Story 1: "Winter Carnival"
Story 2: "First Night"
The new X-Men get to know each other a little after returning from their harrowing battle with Krakoa. Wolverine hits on Jean and Angel takes offense.
Story 3: "Deal with the Devil"
Storm meets with Destiny and Mystique in a nightclub to try and find the whereabouts of the missing Rogue. After Storm leaves, it is revealed that both Destiny and Mystique know that Storm will lose her powers if she tries to save Rogue from SHIELD.
Story 4: "The Man in the Sky!"
A boy's early exposure to radiation causes him to develop powers. He is attacked when others learn of his powers, and suddenly is lifted into the sky by another far-off mutant, who contacts his mind and explains that he must live in hiding with other mutants until the world is ready.
Story 5: "Opening Volley"
Jubilee writes Wolverine a letter about her new teammates in Generation X.
